Jazziland Creations — You're not hard to fit.

Port St. Lucie  ·  Evenings & weekends

Hard to fit.
You've just never
been measured.

Hemming, alterations, and off-the-rack pieces rebuilt into something that is actually yours. Open the hours the cleaners are closed, including the night before.

The part nobody says out loud

After enough years of clothes that don't fit, a woman stops thinking the clothes are wrong. She starts thinking she is.

That is a manufacturing decision you have been carrying as a personal flaw. Somebody picked one body and called it standard. It was never you.

What I do

Bring me what
you already own.

Most of what walks through my door is something somebody already bought. My job is to make it fit the person, instead of asking the person to fit it.

Hemming & Alterations

The pile in your trunk. Pants, sleeves, waistlines, zippers. Drop it off, pick it up, wear it. Prices posted, no appointment needed.

From $25  ·  About a week

After-Hours Rush

Zipper broke Saturday night and the event is Sunday. Every cleaner in the county is locked. I'm not. Evenings, weekends, the night before.

How it works

Three steps.
That's the whole thing.

You don't need to know what service you want. Tell me the date and what you're bringing. I'll take it from there.

One

Book your fitting

Pick a time that works, including after work. Bring the garment, or bring the idea. Tell me the date you need it by.

Two

Get measured

Actual measurements, not a size on a tag. We decide together what the piece should become, and you approve it before I cut.

Three

Wear it

Try it on before you pay the balance. If something is off, it goes back on the table. You leave with it right.

Meet your threadsmith

"I have watched too many women leave a fitting room apologizing for their own bodies."

Carla Bennett is a mom, an entrepreneur, and a fashionista born and raised in Detroit. She picked up the passion as a teenager and never put it down. Primarily self-taught, then sharpened at The Art Institute of Dallas.

These days she serves St. Lucie County out of Port St. Lucie, mostly in the evenings and on weekends, which turns out to be exactly when people discover a hem has come out and everyone else has gone home.

The agreement

The Jazziland
promise.

Handing your clothes to a stranger is a small act of trust. Here is what you get in return, every time, without asking.

  • I will never make you feel bad about your measurements.
  • You will see and approve the design before I cut anything.
  • You will try the garment on before you pay the balance.
  • If alterations will serve you better than custom, I'll tell you so.
  • Your photos and measurements are never shared without your written consent.

The Occasion
Timeline.

How far ahead you actually need to book, by event. Wedding, gala, cruise, quinceañera, graduation. The most common reason a garment doesn't get finished in time is that nobody told the client when to start.

Tell me your date and I'll send it, plus a note if your window is tighter than you think.

Send me the timeline

No spam. Your date is used to tell you when to book, nothing else.

You already own
something worth fixing.
